Baidu reported unaudited second-quarter 2026 group revenue of RMB 31.3 billion ($4.62 billion), down 4% year over year and 2% quarter over quarter. Within its internal management accounts, AI Cloud Infra reached RMB 7.3 billion, expanding 50% from RMB 4.9 billion in Q2 2025 but retreating 17% sequentially from RMB 8.8 billion in the first quarter of 2026.
Cloud Infrastructure and Revenue Mix
Within AI Cloud Infra, Baidu reports GPU Cloud revenue, previously described as subscription-based revenue from AI accelerator infrastructure. Baidu reported that GPU Cloud revenue increased 283% year over year in Q2, up from 184% annual growth in Q1. The company attributed this acceleration to sustained public-cloud demand for AI computing capacity. The release did not disclose standalone RMB revenue, margins, or unit volumes for GPU Cloud, and the triple-digit percentage does not apply to total AI Cloud Infra or overall group sales.
The sequential drop in cloud infrastructure took place as broader commercial revenue contracted. Total Baidu Core AI-powered Business generated RMB 12.5 billion (up 25% YoY, down 8% QoQ), accounting for roughly half of Baidu General Business revenue (RMB 25.2 billion) rather than total group turnover. Online Marketing Services in Baidu General Business fell 19% year over year to RMB 13.1 billion, an aggregate that includes both AI-native and non-AI marketing formats.

Downstream software showed modest topline movement. AI Applications brought in RMB 2.5 billion, rising 3% both year over year and sequentially. Baidu noted that daily active user penetration of AI features across Baidu Wenku and Baidu Drive climbed 27.4% year over year in June 2026, though this reflects penetration rate growth rather than total user additions. Enterprise DuMate launched during the same month.
