Who will be able to try Apple's redesigned assistant? Apple planned a Siri AI beta later in 2026 for supported devices set to English. Initial EU access would cover Mac and Apple Vision Pro, while Siri AI would remain unavailable in China as regulatory requirements were addressed.

Previewed on June 8, 2026, at WWDC alongside the next generation of Apple Intelligence, Siri AI is designed for upcoming releases of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, and visionOS 27. Apple says the assistant can parse personal context across messages, email, and photos, respond to questions about on-screen content, trigger systemwide actions across apps, and handle web queries. The company also announced a standalone Siri application that synchronizes conversation history through iCloud.

Apple outlined a staggered rollout beginning with developer testing on iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and visionOS, with watchOS testing scheduled for a later beta. At the June announcement, Apple planned a broader public operating system beta for July 2026 and free software releases in the fall. Its Siri AI beta was scheduled for later in 2026, initially for supported devices set to English.

Hardware requirements further restrict access:

  • iPhone: iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or iPhone 16 and later
  • iPad: iPad mini (A17 Pro) or iPad models equipped with an M1 chip or later
  • Mac: MacBook Neo (A18 Pro) or Mac models with an M1 chip or later
  • Apple Vision Pro: Supported across all models
  • Apple Watch: Series 9 or later, Ultra 2 or later, or SE 3, provided it is paired with an iPhone with Apple Intelligence enabled nearby

Geography introduces additional hurdles. In the European Union, initial Siri AI access will be limited to Mac and Apple Vision Pro in supported languages; it will not be available initially on iOS, iPadOS, or watchOS. Meanwhile, Apple confirmed that Siri AI and other newly announced Apple Intelligence features will be unavailable in China while it works through regulatory requirements.

Apple noted that certain server-based features, including image generation, will carry daily usage caps. Most iCloud+ subscription tiers will offer higher daily allowances, though the announcement did not specify numeric quotas or relevant plan prices.
